You'll have to swing past Mil-Arm...

Russian SKSs for $225! Polytech M14s for $475!

true, but you still can't roll up to the border with a handgun and get in, per the OP's post.............right, Purple?

Apparently the Canadian attitude is that guns are for sport, NOT self defense which explains the laws. I couldn't even hold or check out any guns because I don't have a gun permit.
5 round max on semi auto rifles, but they have pretty cool ones available.
4" minimum barrel for handguns, 10 round max.
Tiered license system dictates what you can own.
I don't know the law, but was lead to believe that having a loaded gun is never acceptable unless actively shooting.

They do get to have some cool stuff that Californians can't have.

I remember driving over the Canadian border in the early 90's with my mom. I recall the border guards just grilling my mom "wheres your gun?" "where are you hiding your guns?" Just insisting that we were carrying guns and my mom has probably never even held a gun in her life. We had no weapons whatsoever. Finally they let us through. I wouldn't mess around up there.

But i do like drooling over their $200 russian SKS and $400 russian SVT's tho:
