The worst gun you ever bought?

GSG-5, its disassembled right now because something broke on it.... yet again. Pretty much every time I shoot it some part breaks.

This time its the hammer getting stuck back in the "zero maintenance required" lower that needs maintenance.... last time it was the crappy MIM charging handle that just broke in half. This gun is just total junk.

Good to know. I was seriously considering buying one of those a few months back. Good thing I research everything to the point of compulsiveness, because I decided against it. Too many bad reports out there on the GSG made me go with a S&W 15-22. Love it ! Totally flawless

The worst purchase I ever made was a Desert Eagle. As good of a gun as people say it is, it was pretty much worthless for me. I've had guns in larger calibers, but the combination of size, weight, cost of magazines, sights, and odd controls, it was nothing more than a conversation piece. Although, it did get me laid once. =D

Grendel P10 with the integral magazine back around 1990. Thing never fed worth a crap till I polished the throat. Firing pin broke as well.

Weird you say that, my Intratec AB-10 runs without an issue. I just keep her well oiled and wet, and she spits out even my reloads.

Beretta 96 FS. Too complicated. Too slow. Not a very good defensive handgun. Replace it with a Glock and never looked back.

New mossburg 12 gauge in 1982. The trigger group fell apart after 15 rounds, Walmart took it right back. Never bought another mossey. Never have like plastic trigger groups.

The worst gun I ever bought was a Mossberg 472. That was their original entry into the .30-30 lever gun field. It was nice enough, and a decent shooter, but it had some bad habits. Like feeding live rounds under the lifting lever, back into the receiver. That took several hours to get out. It fired a few more rounds, and then did it again. Uhg. And most of the replacement parts for these had been bought up by a gun store owner back east, so if I wanted replacement parts to fix it, I would have had to go through him. And pay his I-have-cornered-the-market prices. No thanks. I dumped it. It wasn't worth fixing.

Bought a mas 49/56 in. 308 started jamming after about 45 rounds. Sold it.

I had one of these, it ran great, most of the time as long as you ran 308....NO NATO! The one issue it had was that once in a while it would double and triple tap on it's own. Sold it to a buddy of mine, I think he got it running pretty good.
The other one was a S&W 669, 9mm semi auto. Not real accurate but doable, it was a piece of crap because the frame broke. S&W fixed it, no issues there, they even upgraded the frame, grips and sites but after it broke, I just didn't really trust it and lost interest. Sold it to another buddy.
Oh, and then there was that SKS with the bent barrel....sold that to another buddy....he knew about the barrel, wanted it for parts.

I've had great luck with my KEl Tec pistols- but my friend's Grendel P12 broke back in the day, and the P10 I had died as well. Pity too- when it didn't toss a live round over your head and close on an ampty chamber, you could hit the first row of plates at Angeles consistently with it- accurate little bugger.

Useless guns don't get rated as 'worst' to me, unless they don't function. I had a Davis decades ago which cracked the slide too.

PS- don't ever expect any pistol's finish to last like a Glock. Tenifer is tenifer- no gun blue can even come close.

Worst gun I ever owned whas a Rock Island 1911 tactical. Barrel bushing out of the box gave the gun a good bit of battle rattle. About 1/8" worth. I fitted an Ed Brown bushing and fixed that problem. When I got to shooting it I had failure to extract issues that only seemed to keep getting worse. I had the chamber measured and it was wider towards the muzzle end. Poor gun was trying to push a rhino through a rabbit hole. I sent it to Advanced Tactical (who lost track of it for a while) and sent it back fixed. BS! It came back with a just decent polish job on the throat. But it stall had the same barrel along with a heavier trigger pull and increased creep. WTF! Not willing to actually fix the gun like they were supposed to, I gave up the fight and sold it. It's too bad because that thing was very accurate and had potential to be a good 1911.

1989, a Grendal .380, the one you had to load from the top...never fired without a failure to cycle, a somewhat annoying habit. Nothing worked, ever. I had picked it up as a throw in on another deal, got rid of it the same way.
