that guy with the leg wound got lucky. It looked like a clean in and out. I know a guyh who was an armed guard and somehow his weapon fired while in his holster. The 357 went into his upper leg traveling down, exited his upper leg then went into his calv and stopped. He said it stopped next to an artery so no one would take it out for him.

Let me guess... this isn't about the alcohol or tobacco. -
Here is the story behind that leg wound. I think it's the same one anyways. This is an extremely interesting read. He journals throughout the recovery. Even a full year later he is still dealing with pain and weakness. Being shot is a big damn deal.that guy with the leg wound got lucky. It looked like a clean in and out. I thought that was just me, i wont go near any of my firearms if i have even had one beer nor will i let anyone else.So So true, I do everything I can to not eff my self. I have my own set of rules that include not even opening my safe if I am on any sort of medication (lately pain killers after my surgery) that causes me to not think straight, or if i have been drinking, or if I am super tired. I double and triple check when i do handle. I try very hard not to get lax with it.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Wow. Thanks for that. Please don't make me defend my love for the 2nd amendment. Comments like these could persuade junior members like myself to stay away. And, I didn't mention anything about mass murder.Sounds like something straight from the drivel of an anti
No guns are not designed to kill people. They are designed to injure or kill whatever you point it at. It may be a person, it may be a rabid dog, it may be a deer or bear, or it may be a piece of paper or tin can. Point is, guns are not agents of mass murder unless they are in the hands of a mass murderer.
Jus' sayin...
A gun is a weapon. And, the 2nd amendment is not about hunting. I don't understand why a gun needs to be called something different in order to appease the anti-gunners.
You are right to say that guns are a means of force. But, how is that force ultimately exercised?
Perhaps my comment was simplistic and direct. My intent was to point out the importance of safety, which is what this thread is all about. Guns don't kill people, but sometimes careless individuals do. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, but if your feathers were ruffled by my comment then you need to chill out. Same team, guys!
