    Selling Confiscated Guns

I saw this in my NRA email about a bill that will be coming up to require selling them instead of destroying them. Do you think this will ever happen in Ca?

Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America. ILA is responsible for preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals in the legislative, political, and legal arenas, to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Well let's see... the government is broke, selling the guns would be a great way to generate money without taxing me or charging a "fee" for something stupid, it makes perfect sense!

Therefore I'm going to predict that

NO, it will never happen in CA.

not going to happen, governments don't make or even try to save money, they just spend it. So if it were a bill to spend more money destorying the guns than they are worth, that would have a chance of passing.

I will tell you that there are many guns that are not worth for selling or buying. Missing parts and just flat unsafe in some instances. The government will probably not sort them out just for good ones.

            nope, never happen
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

For now... You'll just be getting them in parts.

Los Angeles County probably has the largest inventory of the confiscated firearms. The guns that could not be returned to the owners are destroyed. They never sell them. I was able to save a few of them a few weeks ago from certain destruction. That included Armalite 50 cal rifles, Reising SMG, M-1A, Desert Eagle 50 AE, engraved Colt, etc to name a few. It will be added to the reference collection of about 6,000 guns at my office.

Would love to see it, but it will never happen. You'll shoot your eye out.
