If Internet service is unavailable to either the department or the licensee due to a technical or other malfunction, or a federal firearms licensee who is located outside of California does not possess a computer or have Internet access, alternate means of communication, including facsimile or telephone, shall be made available for a licensee to obtain a verification number in order to comply with this section. No problem I saw it the other day but never gave thought to it. Hopefully someone knows the scoop about it and can shed some light on it. Sounds pretty crappy if you ask me

SO basically unless the person or entity that is shipping the firearm into California is a FFL this does not apply.

An individual shipping a firearm into California that does not hold an FFL does not need this verification number ? Am I reading this correctly ?

              Anyone ?

              Anyone ?
