    Sorry to hear about that.
Unfortunately, it seems like the "usual" anti behavior I experience. Most people that know I own guns are open to hearing my views, but may or may not like them. There is just no changing the mind of an anti...

Oh geez, she better not come to my house. I leave a "display" up in the living room of 1 of every caliber I have a gun to shoot, from .22lr to 12ga rifled slugs and everything in between. It usually invokes curiosity in people rather than irrational fear though. "Why do you need so many kinds?" is the most common question, and not in a tone like I shouldn't have them.

        How old was she?

Good thing you didn't leave any 308s around. She would called SWAT on you.

What an idiot. I'm surprised you thanked her. I probably would have fired her azz.

A joke - also sometimes rendered 'a late model Huff', it refers to 'leaving in a huff', similar in structure to 'leave in a Ford' --
The common modern sense is defined as “A fit of petulance or offended dignity caused by an affront, real or supposed; esp. in phr. in a huff, to take huff.” The first two cites are bracketed due to uncertainty as to whether they reflect the previous sense or this one; if the latter, we see the context of departure already:
“[1684 Roxb. Ball. (1886) VI. 171 Jockey he wondred at Moggie’s strange huff; But Moggy was jealous, and that was enough. 1694 DE LA PRYME Diary (Surtees) 45 Upon which, in a great huff, he left the college.]”
If those are disallowed, the next two are:
“1757 WASHINGTON Lett. Writ. 1889 I. 426 Every petty person must..be caressed or otherwise takes huff, thinks his merit and wisdom slighted. 1778 F. BURNEY Evelina xxiv, She went out of the room quite in a huff.”

But really you have 22lr's? Your probably a islamic terrorist too right!!

Lol. Thats so funny. Some people are so blinded by reality from living in a bubble their whole life. We've had our house broken into twice, third time I was here and was nice enough to let them know as they were hopping over the fence that my 357 mag works perfectly fine and is very loud. Like I said that day they were lucky. I think even a 22. would get the same point across. Which is we don't hide under our beds and dial 911.

I think I'll start storing my AR on the mantle. That would be a convo starter! Closed minded people have no place in my life, i'dsay you are better off. Happy dog walking!
