    Northern Orange County Rifle Ranges

I'm trying to find out what all the rifle ranges are close to Northern Orange County. The only one I really know if is Burrow Canyon, and it's only 200 yards. Are there any others that are close to this area? Preferably closer to Huntington Beach area?

Well that sucks. I guess it's just burrow canyon for me then.

Anyone know how to find out where you can and can't shoot in the desert? Is it just BLM land or something? It's would be further than burrow canyon, but would be more open.

Angeles is the same distance from most of OC as Burrow and there's far fewer thuggish douchebags there on the weekends. Not to mention less attitude from the employees.

As for shooting out in the desert, you're looking at a longer drive than Burrow, but it's way more fun if you're just plinking. I like Angeles for actually trying to improve my shooting, but for just going out and having fun shooting at a variety of targets BLM land is the way to go.

I'll have to try Angeles some time. I'm going to Burrow this weekend, but have been wanting some place longer than 200 yards. I've been to the desert with some friends/family near Barstow. Twice the distance, so we camped out there overnight. Was great, and had an awesome time shooting without having someone looking over our shoulder constantly. But was way too far for a day trip.

Is there any BLM land that one can shoot on that's closer than Barstow?
