    Benelli MR1 vs P-Mags

Just started DROS on a Benelli MR1 and I have heard all the stories that P-Mags won't work with the MR1.
    Has anyone found out why?
Can you mod the mags? The rifle?

    Thanks for any insights

Keep in mind that PMAG's are designed for the AR/M4/M16 platform and NOT STANAG compatible.

Most firearms that are not AR/M4/M16 that people say "take AR mags" really take STANAG magazines. The MR1's literature I believe just says something about "AR magazine compatible". That's not true, they really mean STANAG.

USGI magazines are STANAG. PMAG's are not. There is a difference.

Magpul has realized this and they designed the EMAG to be a polymer STANAG compatible magazine. If you're getting an MR1 and already have legit PMAG's, you may want to rebuild them into EMAG's (unless you're LEO, then you can just buy more EMAG's).
      Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Thanks, you said what I wanted to say, but couldn't because I was on my phone and didn't want to spend thirty minutes writing it up
