    1911 70 Series

I have a "Pristine" Colt MK4 Government 1911 that is an Orginal 70 series model, along with a Colt 22 conversion.

My Dentist want to buy them, but I don't know how much to charge him.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I saw a good condition one for about $1,200 last week. The 22 conversion kit should be about $400-500.

If you are looking to get work from him then $2K in value is a fair trade for services...

Cash value...I'd go $1600 for both as a package deal...

Just remember, your Series 70 is a hard find in Pristine condition, not to mention an added gift of a .22 kit. IMHO , I would never give mine up! I wouldn't take $3000.00 for it.

Hi. Take a look at the Blue Book for pricing. Condition is everything. Series 70 in 95% should be worth maybe $1000, unless it's a Gold Cup National Match, then it's worth significantly more. A .22 conversion is maybe a $150 option. If you had a .45 up-conversion for a Colt Ace (.22 on .45 Nat'l Match frame), it would be worth about $500 additional, but they're pretty rare. Good luck.

No way the real Colt .22lr conversions are 300-500 when you can find them.

Colt series 70 I would agree with the above posters at 1000-1200+. depending on condition here in CA PPT.

                  +1

Especially on the part about trading for work he performs.
