      Man, I though that was the Navy's new flux-laser weapon.....

      Why don't they come up with other tracer colors for the US? Why, always red.
      There's green used by other countries; but why not blue, yellow, purple....
      Load the belts right and you could have a rainbow effect....ah....well maybe not....that might break the "don't ask, don't tell" rule.....

        probably answered your own question, other countries use them. No need to confuse people and cause friendly fire incidents.

          blue is incredibly hard to make vivid enough. yellow is too easy to wash out. Orange and red are easy as hell to see which is weird since they sit on the lower power end of the visible spectrum.

            I had some cognitive dissonance in my first shoot-out: First I was pissed that the Army didn't tell me the soviets used green tracers, my next thought was:

            "Looks like Christmas!"

              Red & Green is most visible in the color spectrum, even to the color blind That's why laser systems use Red & Green
