I just got back from Markley's and heard one of the guys serving up a nice hot FUD sandwich to a guy asking about an AK. "Those are illegal in CA, blah blah blah."

The FUD is deep over there, steer clear. New owners seem to be only interested in dealing with LEO. I miss the old days with Scotty and Ward at the counter.

I just shoot there now again when I don't want to drive all the way to Scotts Valley. I don't ask them about anything lol.

Seriously... While there have been no successful convictions regarding legally configured OLLs, we are not doing ourselves any favors by referring to them as "AR/AK/SKS/Uzi/Galil" etc....
And yes, I do the same myself, but referring to a rifle as a "Spikes .223" or "Century 7.62" just might be all it takes to get an uneducated cop or RO to just say "oh" and walk away.
