hahaha - I was thinking the same thing - what a tool, who won't give his best guy a tool! And if I was the gunsmith, that I WOULD pack my tools and walk away.

So frustrating, everything they do is basically take a Saiga, and make it 3 times the price.. Weird, but strangely captivating.

And when the two weirdos in the back were making fun of the 'new guy' I almost choked laughing... Oh, well, it's a gun show at least....

Those parts had me smirking as well. The show should be taken for what it is and it is entertainment only.

What's really crazy is there business is actually exploding. The work they do is good, but it isn't any better than the other shops that do the same. I mean seriously $450 for a Saiga conversion!?!? $75-$125 to thread a barrel?!?! That is insane. Even $375 for a standard kit build kit build is high.

I was yelling at the at the tv saying why not just get a PSL/Dragunov ? I do like when they go and shoot the crap they make.

Wow lots of haters here, its just a TV show and it happens to be about guns who cares if its been done before, what hasent been done before. Who cares if its geared towards people who dont shoot guns, it creates acceptance of the culture bringing it into the living room once a week to a mainstrean audience can only be a positive thing.

My biggest complaint with the show is in this second season, Is his attitude and Im so cool look at me swagger has got bigger. Its almost becoming un barrable to watch this guy talk anymore. He is just becoming a bigger Jackass by the episode.

I dont think he is a great selection to be an abassador of acceptance to the mainstream public.

Also is it me or is his relationship with his daughter portrayed in a weird way?

I'm biased since my daughter is 19.. So that seemed to be the most un-scripted part of the show! haha

Because I expect better of the Discovery Channel than to film a drama filled non-sense show with a lot of unverified information, lies, and scripted nonsense.

I used to watch the discovery channel(along with TLC and others) on a regular basis, unfortunately now most of what they show is garbage.

Then dont watch it and you wont have a problem will you, change the channel and what else do you have, re runs of world war II in color and Hitlers bunker on the military channel.
I agree the owner is a bit of a prick but thats just fill in for the length of the program no its pretty mild compared to the friction scripted into Orange county choppers.

So you're fine with people getting the firearm education equivalent of reading a game manual for Call of Duty?

"It might be bull**** but at least it's something about guns" is a pretty bleak perspective when it shouldn't be difficult for them to just ditch the highschool drama and get things right.

Well I guess you need to do some learning yourself, otherwise you'd see the discrepancy in the garbage that the Discovery Channel currently puts on TV compared to what they did just 5 years ago.

Even if it's meant to be entertaining, that's not an excuse for lies and all sorts of incorrect information.

as cheesy as the show is, as BS some of the statements are to any real gun enthusiast, I STILL ENJOY THE SHOW, sorry I just like the accents, toys, craziness, shop tom foolry etc. Yes I know its a scripted reality TV show, but with all the sales of firearms, thank you Obama, the national public has a bigger demand for the second amend. - OMG the thought of being able to defend yourself?!?!?
                          I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

If you dont like it turn it off and stop whining.

Its just entertainment, building guns shooting stuff and blowing sh*t up what more could you ask for.

Competent people to build the guns?

This show could be filmed in the garage of about 1/2 the population of Louisiana. It does little more than feed the stereotype of what most non-gun folks think of gun owners. Dremel + tannerite = game changer. Filming next week in my garage.

I doubt any show will alter the stereotype, change the mind set of none gun owners so i dont see the point in trying that, plus the show would be pretty much boring under those conditions.
You could have a show were all the guns would be destroyed and still the antis would want you to start going to church to repent for youre past sins as they see it.

Filming in a garage or small shop who cares it could be a sound stage in Hollywood as long as they build something and shoot it what more are you looking for a history of firearms manufacturing perhaps. Wake me up when its the commercial break.
