    AR15 Good price?

sorry guys but i am not sure if i put this in the right section or not but its the best guess. Today while my friend IXTA70 was leaving my house my neighbor walked out and i asked him about his guns so we went to his backyard and he showed us what he had. He had a desert eagle, competition hand gun, sniper rifle, 40mm hand gun (not sure brand) and a AR15 that i was very interested in with a .223 caliber. Im not too sure about the details but he gave me a few options for it......he said the pricing for it was around 2200 he also said he put 1000 rounds through it

    1) 400 deposit and rest payments for a total of 1600 which i would have to pay off soon hopefully

    2) He said if i get full cash in hand he will give me a better deal but didnt say exact ( i assume cash in hand he would do between 1400-1500)

which would be the better deal...i assume cash in hand to not worry later

he said he would include everything on the AR15, approximately 700 rounds of ammunition, and 5 magazines.

    hopefully these pictures can help

Just further info, we weren't currently smart enough to look at the brand of the scope or red dot sight. But he said the scope itself was about $700, + the red dot sight which might be anywhere from $300+

We both don't have a real clue about AR-15's.

Edit: The lower receiver was a Stripped Rock River Arms Receiver

My advice is to leave it alone. I'm not calling him dishonest, but if you don't know much about ARs and the accessories, it's easy to get burned.

yeah i know but the only thing about this one is the scope, red dot, new double trigger, 5 magazines, and 700 rounds

which honestly i really dont need the red dot or scope, but the rounds do help
should i give him a different offer?

if those are real deal red dot and magnifier plus 700 rounds and trigger, you are right about the price for buying it brand new. good deal. eh, getting ripped off, maybe not, give or take about 100 bucks.

I'd like to see the "40mm handgun."

Waste of money, you can find AR's on the For Sale section for 700 - 900 atm.

IF in fact the eotech and magnifier are included then thats a hell of a deal with 700 rounds of ammo.

                  for 1500-1600

Yeah that's all that's included but I honestly don't need those extra things but the ammo would help

hmm..hard to say. Can't see all the markings on the Eotech, the magnifier sure isn't from eotech. don't know anything about the scope..

I say build your own, you'd appreciate the AR more if you do =]. My opinion

You'd have to check the brand on the magnifier(and make sure it isn't a fake) and check the eotech to make sure it isn't a fake. The ammo is likely worth between $125-$200 depending on the brand. Also need to know the brands and specs of all the parts used in the gun. Without all of the information I would never buy it.

Without knowing what to look for you can be easily fooled by a fake eotech or magnifier. The good clones are nearly identical.

My advice --> its overpriced. Assemble your own, its easy as hell.
