    Lancaster AZ

A friend bought two AK's from Lancaster in AZ.
He had rivet and other problems, and sent the AK's back.
Lancaster resolved one AK but has not responded concerning the other.
This has been nearly 8 months.
Anyone have personal experience with this company.

bodiebill, Lancaster Arms is finished. They were basically a scam operation. In January, the Arizona Attorney General's office ordered Lancaster to cease accepting new orders until they caught-up on all the rifles they had promised to others, but not delivered. (Most of these people had already paid)

Some speculate that Lancaster was operating a Ponzi scheme of sorts. Chet Durda, the owner of Lancaster, had a mysterious customer "data corruption" just days before the ATF investigated his shop. He blamed it on a rogue employee. (And if you believe that, can I talk to you about my oceanfront property in Kansas?)

In any regard, by the skin of his teeth, Chet Durda barely escaped criminal prosecution. He is now technically still in business, but the Goodyear Police expect him to file for bankruptcy soon.
