    New to the forum...

    First post to this forum, wanted to get some info from your brilliant minds! Wasn't sure where to post, I figured you guys would direct me to the right forum if this doesn't work.

    The past couple years I have purchased and built a couple California approved ARs. I would like to do the same, only with an AK receiver. Now for the questions...

    Is this still legal in California?
    If so, how many people out there have experience doing this?
    I'd like to know people's experiences, what should I avoid?
    Any nice kits out there? Are the CA legal AK's sold on www.atlanticfirearms.com any good?

    Any advice is appreciated.

          I don't know, when I want to see who has good kits I go to an AK forum. The supply and quality is always shifting around depending on what has shipped in recently.

                  other beat me to the /same/ posts I woulda made like the search nutton IS your friend...bt after peeeking around danfg near anyone here will be glad to help ya' out from there on decifering after that.

                      I'd highly recommended purchasing an AK rather then building one. Whole different ball game when compared to building an AR.
