    glock trouble

anyone know how to take down a glock without depressing the trigger before taking the slide off? the reason i ask is because I replaced the trigger disconnector in my glock and i obviously didnt put it in right because i reasembled it and when i tried to press the trigger... no click. the trigger goes back to where it should break naturally but it just stops there. any help would be greatly appreciated. (gen 3 glock 21)

Replacing a connector should not have caused that. You can't really a install a connector 'wrong' it only goes in one way. Did you change anything else? What brand of connector?

Worst case, you'll have to remove the striker from the slide to allow it to go forward past the trigger bar. If your not familiar with how do do that, I would find an Glock armorer. Where are you located?

What G-force said, lock the slide back and remove the inspection plate to get the striker out. If you have never done that before, I would recommend getting to a Glock armorer.

This kind of shows it, it's tricky with the slide on but it just takes some juggling.

The rocket trigger connector requires filing down of the tab, compare it to the original and you'll see it. Just file a little at a time assemble back together and try again. It's a pain as you'll have to repeat taking it part until you get it right.

Open the booklet it explains it there was well.

You should be able to pull the slide back enough to get a glock tool or something in and remove the pressure from the striker assembly so the cover plate can be removed. Just takes 3 hands the first time but you get the swing of it. Just don't force anything or take it in if you not confident.

If you have issues I'm in Anaheim and can help you out. I'll actually be a certified Glock armorer this coming week, not that you really need to be one to work on Glocks.
