Real Video: Bad Scenario goes VERY bad!

This may have ended better had someone been carrying concealed...or better yet, not happened at all if the thugs feared it!

Shoot Smallbore? Check out LAR&R in S. El Monte

Here is what I said out loud when I finished watching the video: "Wow! Holy Sheet!

Is it just me, or is it getting worse out there?

I thought Lee was going to pull out a concealed weapon. Too bad for this situation that he was not armed. Seemed to have an opportunity to take out a perp if he did.

Yeah, that was my first inclination too. But I couldn't help but think of the pharmacy robbery/murders that just occurred on Father's Day. I don't remember so much cold-blooded murder during simple store robberies.

I believe being able to carry would help to curb violence. If you look at places like D.C. that have some of the most strict gun laws in the country it also has some of the highest crime rates. That situation in the video made a clear point in that one of the victims was frozen with fear, granted he was unarmed but even armed you have to have a mindset to act if you hesitate it can cost you your life. This is not a dig at being able to carry but more of a notice if you carry you must be willing to use the gun or leave it in the holster.

The second armed robbery I was in (gas station) I complied with the robbers, but the guys only got $5 from the cash register.
They were furious, beat me and were going to kill me because I could not open the safe.
I told them they should just lock me in the bathroom like the first robbers did.
I went ahead and quickly went into the bathroom a couple steps away then I pushed the door shut.
They tried to get in the door to get me but it was a steel door with a heavy commercial lock and door frame.
Duuuh...the door locks from the inside, not the outside!
They could not lock someone inside the bathroom, but I could lock them out.
Next I flattened out on the floor in case they shot through the door.
They stayed for a few minutes trying to get in and steal whatever else they could.

I don't ever want to hurt anybody, but I (we) do need the tools to defend ourselves from armed assailants.

It always amazed me that most people (in free states), often refused to carry.

I always use to ask them, why don't you carry a firearm, if its legal to do so?

Most would respond, "Oh because if something is going to happen, I wouldn't have enough time to react anyways".

Or "Because I'll call the police afterwards, and let them handle it".

I use to tell them, how I lived in a POS state that made it very hard to aquire a CCW, and that now (when I lived in AZ), I would take every living minute to carry a firearm.

Every time we venture outside, We could be robbed/or involved in a violent confrontation. I'm not going to be unarmed, and at the mercy of armed killers.

                        The heck with that.

Horrible situation. I really thought Lee was going to pull out a Colt Python and save the day.

There is a world of difference between D.C. and Arlington, and it's not just the river separating the two. Noone in D.C. can CCW unless they are police or a privileged person. Many ordinary law abiding people CCW on the VA side of the river, and the crime numbers reflect this.

How can people be SO brutal over a few bucks?
