My 9 year old's first rabbit. She has been dying to get out since the season opened last week. We didn't get any boars this spring in Texas, and she was most disheartened by that. So I got home early today and we set up in the paddock with her little Crickett. Eventually the rabbits settled down and came out into the open. The first shot went just over it's head, but the dumb bunny just sat there and looked at us over it's shoulder. The second shot hit it in the shoulder just below the skull, and came out through the front of the neck. It dropped like a rock, and it was all over except for the twitching. Her 6 year old sister is extremely jealous, and has decided that going to the range to practice may be worth while after all.
