    LAX Gun Range

Does anyone here frequently go here and maybe want to meet up one day?

ive shot their before - you can shoot rifles as long as its frangible ammo (.308 is 19.99)

Ive shot shotguns too. Let me know when you all want to go & I'll meet you up

as a side note, Los Angeles Gun Club in downtown L.A. also is a great indoor range that lets you shoot all the same toys BUT LAGC is a tad cheaper
        I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

          LAGC is GHETTO.

went there 1x and will not go back. people sweeping, shooting guns sideways and emptying mags in 2-3seconds. add to it no oversight whatsoever from the staff.

Go in the early part of the day or towards closing and you would have most of the place to yourself.

I'd be willing to meet up as long as I get a day or so notice.

Last I read some guy committed suicide with a rental at LAGC and a CalGunner with his G/F was in the next lane over. I know it happens, but it sounded pretty sketch to me.

              SantaMonica9,

Maybe we can hook up and take the carpool lane on the day of.

I remember that thread...funny thing is I can't seem to find any media coverage about it.

Ive gone to LAGC on monday nights with no problem. I got their around 7:30 and shot till about 11 when they close. LAX has less parking than LAGC but we can work it out in ethier place. Lets post a date here to get a consensus on what will work out for eveyone that wants to join us. Then judging on the response I'll contact the range we decide on. If its just three or four of us I dont think it would matter but if we get a good group size I'll call them up or go their, Ive been to both plenty of time and I have some contacts

How about this Tuesday: August 2, 2011, and then we line up some place in the area for Taco Tuesday after. If we go to LAX, I know of a couple places in Culver City, and if we do LAGC, we can hit up El Taurino.

a bunch of coworkers and me used to go here quite a bit. However they force you to buy their ammo to shoot or you have to pay a fee (Even with a membership)

That was enough to make me stop going there.......
they let you shoot .223 frangible ammo, but it's really expensive.

El Taurino is one of the better Taco places.

It's sad and yeah, it's kinda scary but killing oneself with a rental is a cost-effective way of doing things. Has there been a case where a person rents a gun and kills everyone at the range and kills himself? I've never heard anyone doing it. Usually, murder-suicides are more personal than just random.
