That can be switched to two different positions with a twist of an Allen-wrench; and they have a tool which is attached to a lanyard that brings me to a 2nd question: Can I hang the lanyard off my rifle and still not get in trouble with the law?
I saw a YouTube video with someone saying that his lanyard hanging from his rifle was not legal.
The tool to remove the magazine can't be attached to the firearm.
The tool for the Raddlock is attached to a lanyard.
If you attach the lanyard to the firearm, the tool is now attached to the firearm. Which is a no-go.
AFAIK... the lanyard was intended to be around the shooters wrist and not intended to be attached to the firearm.

I've got the regular bullet button on mine. Wish I had the Raddlock, though. The little collar on mine is turned so far down the shaft that I can't get it back off with the little red button wrench.

I wanted to put the normal mag release on it a few months back when I was out of state, to use in a match, but it worked out okay: I just put the wrench on the shaft and had a super-duper-ultimate-tactical-BIG BRIGHT RED mag release button. All the guys I was competing against were jealous.

If we ever get to the point where I can pull the thing off for good ... then perhaps I'll get around to making a tool to pull the thing off. I've got a fairly complete workshop. Hell, just this weekend I needed to make a special security screwdriver bit to take something apart ...

Ok, I much prefer the standard (Prince 50) bullet button.

It's the easiest to use of all the "bullet button" designs out there while inside California. The large manipulating hole just makes it very fast and easy to use not JUST with a bullet tip.

I also keep this in the pistol grip of every rifle I own (except my .22lr, duh):

When I'm out of state to shoot, I just put the standard mag catch in. I think it's silly to use a convertible tool when the original is just fine and already COMES WITH your gun and/or LPK. I put the original B.B. parts in the bag for storage so I don't lose anything.

The red wrench is for when I'm out of state but aren't really planning on going shooting. A lot of times I'll bring a gun "just in case", and for that I just leave the B.B. in place. If I happen to get some shooting in, I just pop the wrench in, have fun, and remove it when I'm done. This way I never screw up and end up breaking CA law when I drive back in.

My method involves almost zero labor, is extremely inexpensive, and works great.

I much prefer the original Bullet Button and make my own installation/removal tools, one of the advantages of a home shop.
