Just as it says got mine in today but I am unsure if I need to trim the actual grip of just the adaptor. Any help would be great.

You will most likely need to trim the MMG. The adapter should be fine as it is. Be sure to go a little at a time. The one I did I made the mistake of following the line exact and it was too far. I just used my bench grinder wheel to trim it down a bit at a time.www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms. -
I dremelled, trimmed, sanded and painted the base of the adaptor (which when fitted is in direct contact with the receiver) using the original AK pistol grip base as a template to get the correct size. This way it fits as the original pistol would do, and the "hump" on the MMG clears the adaptor.
The top of the MMG has to be trimmed and sanded very gently to remove just enough to get a nice fit onto the fixed stock.

I trimmed both. If you're cheap and don't mind working, a rasp takes material off pretty fast.
Remember: measure twice, cut once. Trim a little, then test fit and see what needs trimming next. Rinse, repeat.sigpicNRA MemberOriginally posted by Deadbolt"We're here to take your land for your safety"

I did some modifying to both. But then again, I Duramix'd them together and got rid of that finger hump towards the top of the MMG. A little more work on it and it should look like it was made for the AK. I'll have to snap a pic of what I got done so far. It feels way more comfortable than before as 2 seperate pieces.Last edited by SunriseF150; 09-18-2007, 2:10 PM.sigpicComment
