Discount Gun Mart - San Diego

Hey guys, I just purchased a membership with Discount Gun Mart in San Diego and was wondering if anybody else on here was a member there?

Maybe we could set up some shoots, or swap guns out at the range every once in a while. I'm always looking for new quality people to shoot with.

Let me know what you guys think

Looking forward to taking advantage of my membership there ASAP

I shoot there and am a member - but I tend to go during the 9-5 M-F time periods because you have fewer people using the range.

I shoot there every once in awhile, probably my favorite place to go in SD.

That membership is also good at Magnolia in Santee. They have timed turning targets if you ask...

I was a member when I lived in PB. Decent range. Worth it.

I can't believe I'm reading this. The Santee location is decent and the staff is friendly.

But the Moreno Blvd store is just dumpy- both facility & the employees

Yep, there's a dumpy one off Moreno blvd near Sea World. I think it has only 7 lanes.

I've never shot at the one off Morena but I have at the one in Santee. The people there are really nice. A lot nicer than any other indoor range I've been to.

Morena is fun times. Last time I was there the counter person couldn't answer 3 direct questions about the Nighthawk guns they carried, starting with "do you have any Nighthawks in stock (besides the overpriced T3), or do expect any in?" "Huh huh, we had a chrome one in, and that got bought in about 15 seconds." No further response to other questions.
Time before that, there were folks loading mags off the line, against the wall, and kids were sitting on the floor. Great place to shoot.

Um, I sit and load mags against the wall. A friend and I usually share a lane. The weapon itself never leaves the lane, but I'm not sure what the problem with sitting and loading mags is.

Mind, we shoot in the bay area. Maybe it's different etiquette?

That's the one I normally go to, and I've never been to the Santee one. How is the Santee one different? Is it still only 15 yards?

I believe the Santee location goes out to 35-40 yrds. Also, the machinery that moves the targets is electronic, so the range distance is the same everytime. No fumbling with a toggle switch, just enter the exact distance you want using the keypad

Stay out of lane seven at the Santee range, the lights aren't very good.
