How many gun owners have you made?

My friend calls me a bad influence. I just showed him a picture of my new Noveske build, and apparently that pushed him over the edge. He wants me to come over next week to help him place an order for the necessary parts for an OLL build.

I had previously nudged him into exercising his 2nd Amendment rights by helping him choose a CZ-75B. He isn't the only one I've "helped." I gave my brother a Kimber Custom II when he got married. My cousin ended up getting a Stag AR and a Ruger P95 after he got tired of borrowing my guns at the range. Another friend just bought a Smith & Wesson 686 because he realized how fun shooting is after going to the range with me. That's four new gun owners in four years for me. Not bad, I hope to keep up the pace of creating a new gun owner per year.

How about you? Do you guys try to influence those you know to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights? Please share any stories you have.

Two of my roommates bought guns after I took them shooting a few times. One now has a collection that rivals mine, and the other one has just the one 92fs.

my boss got me started at work... he got 3 of us. I in turn got 5 of my friends to do so. keep on spreading it!

Only gun owner I made was my son. I have converted many pre existing people who are friends and co workers to shooters though.

I've made 3; they have made 4; kids and grandkids. And there are a couple at work who I "advise".

Within the past year I was at least partially responsible for 6 new gun owners. The most recent one being my dad on fathers day. He's the proud owner of a new Ruger Vaquero .357 magnum since he's a Mexican that loves horses and charreadas so I figured that gun fits the bill.

I have a standard offer to people who have never shot a gun. I'll supply the guns, ammo, safety gear, teach the four rules, pay the range fees and even buy lunch.

My answer: Only two four of them have bought safes

None yet... Despite all of the people I take to the range, all of them are stubborn mooches that will only go shooting if I provide the ammo.
