Which rifles take FN FAL mags?

M1A takes FAL mags? Hmmmmm, interesting. looks like I've just tripled the amount of mags I can use on my M1A.

Rock River Arms LAR-8 and FAL are all that I am aware of. I have heard of conversions for M14 and M1A but do not know if they are still available, how it is performed and how reliable the conversion is. Just know that it has been performed.

Unmodified M14/M1A do not use FAL magazines.

Yes,metric mags will work in an inch pattern (L1A1).Inch mags will not work in a metric (FN-FAL) rifle.None of them work in an unmodified M1A.(Thought reference was to M1A.)

M1A1 is the military designation for the Thompson SMG.

Pretty sure it uses DPMS/KAC AR-308 mags for M110 magazine compatibility.

Keltec's site says RFB uses metric FAL mags.They are the more common and usually cheaper than inch pattern mags.

The FN SCAR-H magazine is proprietary.
It's based off the metric FN FAL magazine.

Some people have modified metric FAL magazines to use in the FN SCAR-17S, but the mods do not make the mags very reliable.

KAC/DPMS AR-308 magazine compatibility was not a requirement, so FN based the magazine off of what they knew to be reliable.
