Doesn't seem like you are aware. You are not even allowed to offer a large-capacity magazine for sale, unless you have a CA LC mag permit12020 (a) Any person in this state who does any of the following is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or in the state prison:
...
(2) Commencing January 1, 2000, manufactures or causes
to be manufactured, imports into the state, keeps for sale, or
offers or exposes for sale, or who gives, or lends, any large-
capacity magazine.- which means you are an FFL, and you don't say that you are.(26)The importation into this state of, or sale of, any large-capacity magazine by a person who has been issued a permit to engage in those activities pursuant to Section 12079, when those activities are in accordance with the terms and conditions of that permit.
Either take them out of any ad, or disassemble them and offer them as kits.
Since its a felony to transport an unregistered CA 'assault weapon', hypothetically moving such an imagined item out of state would be a very risky move. ETA: So would keeping it be risky, but somewhat less so - remembering that we are discussing just a hypothetical, please see the wiki article -- http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/in...ult_weapons%22I have a hypothetical question since we are on gun laws.
lte's say someone has an on list lower. Had it since before the AWB. This lower was not registered during the AWB, hence would be a hypothetical unregistered assault rifle according to the CADOJ. Can you this lower ever be sold out of state, or is it forever to be locked away never to see the hypothetical light of day?Last edited by Librarian; 06-24-2011, 6:31 PM.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

There is no ad to take them out of.
OK, so let me understand. I am not trying to be difficult I may just be misunderstanding. As far as I understand, a law enforcement officer can sell a high capacity pistol magazine to another law enforcement officer. I don't believe you need a CA LC mag permit for this.
Does this not apply to high capacity rifle magazines? Or do you have to have a CA LC Mag permit to sell personally owned hi cap rifle magazines.
Thank you for the link Librarian.Last edited by realmswalker; 06-24-2011, 6:59 PM.Comment
