    Just go along with it....

I know articles about this have been posted already, but this is the first I've heard with the specific details.

So remember kids, if someone violent ever encounters you, it's much safer to just do what they say. Don't try to defend yourself, you'll just get yourself and/or others killed! Give 'em what they want, and you'll be fine....unless he's feeling like executing people.

Oh my, I suspected that it was a robbery/murder as planned and not one "gone bad" as earlier reported.... geeez

This is what happens when criminals only fear witnesses and 10 minute police response, instead of the public defending themselves.

I am in no way blaming the victims. I get tired of hearing all the passive "just give them what they want it's not worth it" crap. There is no way to tell what the persons intentions are (that is if they even know)

Do no just stand there and give your life away, if you can, either run and escape or fight. Of course if law abiding citizens were able to arm and defend themselves the outcome may have been different.

The "Roll over and take it" attitude is what allowed 9/11 to happen to the extent that it did.

            It's NEVER good advice.
            Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Violent criminals and totalitarian regimes (and their lackeys) love idiots who roll over like sheep.

It's why when I see the MSNBC "Lean Forward" ads I suspect the unwritten corollary is "and grab your ankles"

It couldn't be clearer that you just can't depend on the state to protect you, ever, which is one of the strongest arguments for the 2nd amendment.

Right. Years of training people that in case of a hijacking, you just stay calm and do what they say, everything will be fine....y'know, until they decide to fly it into a building.

I feel the same way when i read articles and analysis of the piracy issues near Somalia. Someone will suggest arming crews, and everyone will jump in about what a horrible idea it is, and how the last thing we want is the oceans to become the "wild west". Gee, there are people roaming the seas with AKs and RPGs taking people and ships hostage. I think it's a little late to worry about things getting "Bad"... :P

My office alarm came on, my alarm provider called me, i rushed to my office which took 15 minutes, I sat outside for 20 then they arrive....35 min...maybe because it wasn't life threatening. Should of did what that ol'man did and call em telling em I shot the intruders. Lol. Jk....

Who was that one guy who owned a watch repair shop and he was armed to the teeth?
the porter asked him if it was worth it to fight back and the reporter said his life wouldn't be in risk. The owner said "well, that would be up to him, wouldn't that be"

Strong man, you should definitely fight back no matter what.

They got him. Dude doesn't even have a criminal record.

Following an intense three-day manhunt, Laffer, 33, of Medford, N.Y., was arrested by Suffolk County police at about 10 a.m. Wednesday, and Brady, 29, was taken into custody shortly afterward, the Suffolk County Police Department said in a statement.

Dude walks into a pharmacy just after it opens. Makes no demands, just executes everyone in the store (all staff and customers) and takes some drugs. One of the four dead was a 17 year old girl for christ's sake. All caught on tape. All in may (not) issue NY

Well, I must say, in all my years when i used to work retail, I ALWAYS had a pistol on my person and more close-by. Sometimes it was openly carried as when working in a gunstore, and other times hidden as needed. My shooter buddy knew the big city jeweler who shot back when he was repeatedly robbed and he always had multiple guns around---when one ran dry he just went to the next one and sometimes even the next one, all this took place inside the confines of his store and in incredibly small time frames. It makes me ill to think some scumbag feels its OK to murder people just to feed his drug habit---hope they catch him soon.
