Missing 1 Round From Winchester White Boxes?

I bought the 9mm 100 round Value Pack from Walmart and 3 times in a row I've only gotten 99 rounds. I know Im not mistaken because I only have 10 round magazines and loaded them evenly.

Is it normal the exact count is not precise as they just take a handful of rounds to fill the box?

you probably got unlucky 3 times in a row.

the counts are done by machine so one of two things could have happened. the counting system is off or one ammo fell out of box as it was loaded.

or two, they weigh the box to count, and the overall weight was within the margin of error for 100 rounds in box.

We have switched to WWB recently; we got 17 out of 17 with perfect 100 counts... I am am sure you luck is running high with your 3 out of 3 perfect 99 counts. 'Go get a Lotto ticket, quick.

I may have got your 3. I had 3 boxes in a row that had 101 rounds. No joke I have 10 round magazines and had 1 left over each time. I should have kept buying them but Wal mart got a bunch of the federal 9mm and I jumped on them.

I just sold some ammo I got from another calgun members and as I was leaving to meet for the sale I noticed the box felt lighter then the others so I gave it a quick count, 9 short I took 9 from another box and marker the box short and recounted the other boxes and they were good. Not sure what happened but o well.

Call them up and tell them. They will say "sorry" and send you 3.

That adds up to allot of money for them in the big picture. They figure no one will complain or notice then they pocket huge savings in the end when all the peanuts are counted.

This is actually a Weights and Measures violation and could result in a fine from the county and state against both Wallmart and Winchester. It's minor, but if a package says "100 count", the package must contain at least 100 units.

That said, I've never noticed being shorted on WWB.

I would give Winchester a call

first off it will let them know they had an issue get out the door
second they may send you some cool stuff

I have called before to companies before on similar topics and that has sealed my support of that company
Hopefully Winchester does the same for you

Happened to me as well, I had a few boxes with 99 rnds. ~6 boxes.
