    Question

Ive been a member her for quite a while and utilize the marketplace quite a bit over the years I have compiled a s hit list of people that have burned my fellow friends and myself. For example no shows at gun shops for transfers and low balling when they get there after I post all kinds of pics they seem to find some crap wrong and low ball me. So my question is if one of these people posts "I will take it" can I say no you wont? please let me know your thoughts thanks

In my opinion, its your stuff, so its your decision on who you sell to ultimately. Just as it is within their right to make a ridiculously low offer, or not to buy at all.

I've posted I'll take it all of one time so far, showed up, paid asking price and got good feedback though iTrader. I think that the iTrader is a good enough system to help you determine a buyer (or seller)'s trustworthiness.

In my opinion, it's your sale, you can sell to Who you want When you want.. Especially to say NO to people that have tried to take advantage of you in the past.. Again that's my opinion and I'm Old & Cranky anyway (Get Off My Grass)..

ps.. Wouldn't it be FUN to say NOPE to one of those guys??

In my opinion if you say, "first I'll take it gets it" then the first one who posts "I will take it" gets the item. End of story.

If they then alter the "I'll take it" with ANY OTHER offer other than what you asked...the deal is off, and you SHOULD be able to bump the thread stating the first "I'll take it" was not accepted due to failure to abide by the terms, then it falls to the second person.

The problem with the rule, " you can sell to who you want" is then it becomes a secret auction that everyone knows exists and everyone refuses to expose. I can guarantee you, if you see an sale on AR15.com within the first hour or so of an "Ill take it" and you send a PM offering more...you will get the item.

IMO absolutely especially given the circumstances you described. There is nothing that says you MUST sell to a person. its your item. You can do as you please and sell to whomever you please.
                Wanted to add
Granted most sales to be fair go in a order of Ill take it. That's how I do my sales. If I had a member who flaked or knew he was a flake ( i trader) i would simply tell him he is out of the running due to past flaking issues. Don't like it? Then don't be a flake. granted need to know the reason he flaked would be helpful. Say the gun was not as described and they backed out vs a no show/wanted to renegotiate I only brought 350 instead of 400.

I personally wouldn't have a problem if you basically said "No you won't, due to the fact you've flaked on previous transactions with me".

If I see it a lot, however, I'm going to start wondering if there's something else going on.

Say no with an explanation to why.

Short of a statement saying something along the lines of "fastest claim wins" then no, you can dime people out for their failures to be considerate shoppers.

^ these! Out them for being flakes. If I say I'll buy something and it turns out to be my error and we meet, I'll buy it anyways.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.
