    Glock G34 Whats your opinion?

I have several Glocks but sold off my G19 because I just did not like it. I know what am I crazy? Anyways pretty much made up my mind on getting a G34 since I need a 9mm. Everything I have read states its a shooter and accurate. Well thats pretty much every Glock. ( LOL) It was between this and a G17. I like the full size models/frames better than compact or sub.

Any thoughts on the 34 are greatly appreciated especially if you own one, Same as to the G17.

I pose this question why or why not would you own one of these two models?

    Thank you.

If you dont like the 19, why do you think you will like the 34?

The 34 over the 17 because of the improved controls and lighter trigger. The longer sight radius definitely helps as well.

Just buy a gun you like to shoot.

        If you didn't like the 19, I doubt you'll like the 34.

          Reading comprehension failure guys.

I love my 34 and my 17 just gathers dust since I got it. Just change the sights and maybe add some grip tape and you have a great gun!

If you did not like the 19 you are not going to like the 34. Glocks are great in my hands but no so much in many other shooters. Seems that many shooters perfer the XD or M&P's over Glocks. You might want to try a full size M&P or XD before plunking down hard earned cash on a new G34.

I am a sucker for Glocks and have a 17, 19 and 34 that all get shot regulary. Funny thing is I shoot my 17 better than all of them and they are all set up the same. 4.5# Connectors, grip tape and 10-8 sights in all of them. Sammy

They seem to be hard to find right now. If you do end up getting one, I'm curious if you'll be able to get it without paying a premium. I've been looking casually for the past month, but haven't seen any great deals to jump on.

...got one last October...took it to the local range to be familiar with it... then used it at Front Sight for a two day beginner course... loved it... love it even more as I gain more experience with it... have approximately one thousand rounds through it with no problem (s)... it is still completely stock... may even liking it more compared to my first handgun- a Beretta 92 FS and other 1911s I have owned. If anyone is looking to get one... try Parallax Tactical located in San Diego, CA- last time I saw they had it for $599 new- I bought mine for $590. Good luck!

Actually if you don't like the 19 you just MAY like the 34. I don't like the finger spacing on the GLock19, but I do on the 17/34. My one and only GLock is a 34.

If someone said "if you donn't like the Glock17 you won't like the GLock34" I would tend to agree with that since they share the same grip frame.

I too am considering a G34. I've got a G17 and G19. Love them both but the G19 is more comfortable in my hand. That "hump" on the G17 is placed differently than on the G19.

I've got one on day 6 of 10-day jail right now. I shot my friend's and it took me about 1.5 magazines to know I was getting one. I compared my G19 targets and groupings were tighter from all distances. My buddy claims that from the bench he can shoot 1.5" groups at 25 yds consistently. He's got Warren Tactical sights on his with the fiber optic front, and I love 'em... I'm dropping off the set I bought from Brownell's to the jail tomorrow for installation.

Just get it. At $507 GSSF pricing you can't beat it.

Rented a G34, XD 9 5" barrel. Shot better with the XD. My buddy shoots a G17 and I spray all over the target no matter how hard I try.
