I bought a handgun in Texas while I was in the army and I have military oders bringing me to California. Making me exempt from having to register the gun in the state of California. If I want to sell the firearm legally how would I go about doing so?

Go to an FFL with the buyer and execute a transfer.
Make sure you have your California orders... hopefully the FFL can process it as a PPT for $35, otherwise he will have to treat it as a transfer from Texas. More money ($75+ depending on the shop) and the gun would have to be on the roster.- Rich
