    RIA GI 1911 Really cheap.

RIA GI 1911 for $385 shipped. Great deal on these things for a solid little shooter if anyone is looking for a good starter 1911. Thought I would throw it out there.

    385 aint bad
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

I'v seen them locally without the hassle of getting them shipped for $399 (Sacramento anyway). Turners to I believe in So Cal?

Now I'd spend $40 more and get the Tactical. (and I did). Centerfire Solutions had these at $435 including shipping. Guess that is $50 more but you get: Lower profile hammer, adjustable novak rear site, adjustable trigger group, and for $50 those three things alone are worth it - I think there was another upgrade or two.

Sacramento Black Rifle had these for $399 in their last two sales....

+1 for them being less than 1 minute away from my house

For me this would be a no brainer.

                $385 pistol + $50 Transfer (including DROS) = $435 OTD From Buds.

                $430 + $41 roughly tax + $25 DROS = $496 OTD from turners.

The RIA 1911 is a great value. I've only had one jam in mine when I didn't clean it as soon as I should have. Other than that, its great.

What about the tax on the gun from Buds? If your FFL doesn't charge you tax you are lucky and they are screwing themselves so don't expect it to stay that way

Its not his responsibility to do anything with the tax. It is between me and the state.
