    glow in the dark paint

Just wondering if any of you have ever put glow in the dark paint on your steel target and went shooting at night?

    How did it work out?

I'd think it would be pretty freaking awesome going blind from the muzzle flash and stuff hehe.

Glow in the dark doesn't much/enough. Moon light would be brighter by the time you charge up the target and run back away from it.

I have practiced shooting with a rifle with a light mounted on it and hand held pistol and flashlight. Anybody planning on using a firearm for self defense ought to see what their weapons look like after dark.

this paint im looking at using is more of a commercial application. It glows for 8hours, and is supposed to be 10x brighter then the old stuff.

However, i just emailed them to see what the mcd/m2 rating is...hopefully i get a response in a timely manner =)

I would think you might have an easier time with a UV flashlight and fluorescent targets.

          Mike,

Literally the brightest glow in the dark paint on the market is the "Ultra Green V10" from Glow Inc. It has an mcd/m2 of 33,000 and will glow for over 20 hours.

          Glow Inc is at www.glowinc.com

It would be plenty bright to use for your target. I would also suggest getting a Photon Ultra Violet LED key chain light to charge it. If you want to go on the cheap, try a used disposable camera with flash.

Or you could pick these little guys up and see your target without any paint.
