Name your biggest kick yourself sale or trade!

Like it says... Name your biggest "whoops/moron/stupid/rushed" trade or purchase you've ever done with firearms.I actually consider them learning experiences but nonetheless.

    Should be a good one..

I'll start it! Trading my FN/DSA FAL for a vang comp 870!

I've got a few more learning experiences but lets hear some other stories.

Bought a Mossberg Maverick 88 for $199 + tax. Put another $60 into it with Hogue parts and other accessories. Great shotgun and perfect for home defense. I put only 20 rounds through it to test it out.

Then after a couple of months, I got bored of it and sold it on here for $150.

I kind of wish I just kept it for that amount since I really didn't need the money but just wanted something else. It would've been a great "sits in the closet until SHTF" shotgun to still have around.

January 2002 I reenlisted and got a bonus. Having never played the stock market before, I bought kmart shares at $0.79 each. 3000 of them. Then I watched the shares tank and I sold them at a loss at $0.29.

4 years later they would have been worth over $100,000.00 after splits and settlements were done following their BK.

I will never buy stock again.

Sold my Ruger P85. It was the only gun I owned that I had Hi Cap mags for. I bought it and several mags before the CA law limited us to 10 rounders. I used the $ to buy a CZ40B. I sold the CZ and several others to buy my DW PM7. I guess I am still OK ;-). I am a decent shot, who needs 15 rounds anyway?

Sounds to me like you should never sell stock again. =)

Never regreted any sales cuz all were replaced with other firearms that were of more interest and of higher values. Guns come and go just like Dollar bills never get attached.

Gun: The 115th Union Switch & Signal 1911A1 off the assembly line (probably made the first day) Traded it for 3 different Ruger Blackhawk variants many years ago. Rugers are now worth around $800.00 and the US&S is probably $5k+

Car: Original owner 1969 Chevy Camaro RS/SS 350 4 spd. Loaded with options. Traded it for a Toyota Tercel in 1982 to drive to work. Tercel is now in the junk yard and the Camaro is worth around $50K+.

Those two come to mind first!
