    San Diego Brushfire

Right by South Bay Rod & Gun club, any members know the impact of this?

I had not heard of this. I shoot at the SBR&G club as well as the BLM land near there. The ground around the club is well cleared so fire should not be a danger there.
I just hope they do not use this as an excuse to close the BLM land to shooting.
The area is a major corridor for illegal aliens, too, though I doubt they light camp fires.

Yeah, that's my fear. We just went out there a couple of weekends ago to shoot on the BLM land and enjoyed ourselves, so I hope it doesn't get taken away.

There are always brush fires out that way. Its a very dry area. I wouldn't worry about it.

Look at the surrounding area, the trees still show signs of the Oct 2007 fires. Then look at the homes right off Maroon Valley Rd, particularly the first one on the Left. 5 car garage & an infinity pool. Insurance hooked them up

It'd just be bad if someone shooting started the fire.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Hi Whipkiller, where do you shoot on BLM land? I,m a member of So. Bay Rod and Gun and it pisses me off when my only day to shoot is taken by the Military on the pistol ranges. I,d like a safe place to shoot where your not hasseled by the BLM rangers.
