It's more a question of instant gratification. If I mail it then I have to wait..

I am simply looking to mark the location of the Slide Stop Notch on the opposite side of the slide. I am a lefty and this is important to me. I sent an email to Smith and Wesson to see if they have an answer, when they get back to me I'll call around . If all the local shops are 'ewww guns' then I guess I have my answer.

Anyway, I forgot it was lazy mailman day and could have been out of here hours ago. Time to go and run around.

Just looking to mark the location of the Notch on the other side of the slide.. as simple as one line, and complicated as a box.

Bear in mind 'because we like them' or 'because I trust them' or even 'he has a hot wife' are all perfectly acceptable answers. If you had the option to walk down the street and get engraving work done especially something as simple as this from your local plaque maker, would you? Because his ad doesn't say 'I engrave firearms' did nobody call him? Or do we as a community just prefer to deal with people that like guns and like engraving vs. a jewelry store employee or a souless machine?

Wow.. this is turning into a thought experiment. Angelo Bee aside (since he is in Chatsworth, and I have a friend out that way) why would I send a gun, or part of one to someone who advertises as being gun friendly but is far away or out of state versus someone nearby who is also capable. 'ewww guns' issues aside, is it because we like these other better, or because nobody has the legwork? Do finished guns need to be re-finished, and this is something a trophy could not do? I will call around, maybe I will get lucky and the jewelry store will do it, then I could get engraving done, buy ammo, buy comics and go the the farmers market all in the same trip. I could probably ramble around in circles a bit more, but I think I should eat..

Laser engraving of the melonite slide should be white in color. You can call and make an appointment and go down to CS Paintball in Anaheim and they can engrave it while you wait. Though they do need to attend to customers if there is only one guy in the store so that can take a bit of time.
