Yes 7.92x57 = 8mm mauser.I hate people that are full of hate.

The short answer is yes.
The longer answer is that older "8mm Mauser" rifles - the 1888 Gewehr for example - were manufacture for and used bullets of .318 diameter. The 8mm Mauser rifles and ammo were later manufactured with a .323 diameter bore and has pretty much been standard for about 90 years.
If you have anything of the K98, Yugo 48 or WWII manufacture rifle it uses 7.92X57 which is "8mm Mauser" ammo.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
