I thought AZ was similar to CO. Drivers license in that state equals ability to purchase a gun with very little restrictions - cash and carry. Not positive though.Bud

True, but you'll have to show proof of residency in AZ to get a AZ license. Shouldn't be hard to do if he's actually living in the state. A lease agreement, utility bill, or something along those lines is all you need for proof of residency. Check with the AZ DMV to see what the exact requirements are. Usually two documents with an AZ address and matching name along with proof of citizenship is all it takes in most states.
I'm not sure what the requirements for gun purchases in AZ are. Most states require two forms of ID showing AZ residency. AZ might only require one. Someone from AZ should be along shortly to explain better.sigpic

If he gets an AZ license, no problem. Taxes have nothing to do with it. Buy it legally there, move back here, fill out the new resident handgun registration.
