Since I work in IT we have a lot of downtime whilst waiting for things to break or the phone to ring, and a couple days ago while browsing youtube for the umteenth time, I got an idea. I was looking at hi point videos and it seems like there is a fierce debate going on as to whether these guns are crap or decent enough. So, since I'm going on a little trip to front sight near the end of the year for their 4 day handgun class, I figured why not take the hipoint and just beat the hell out of it and if it can withstand that, that's a pretty good judge of how well it's built, accurate, etc. Also, if it does break I can just use my 1911 as a backup. Also, since I was looking at the c9 the difference between the 600 rounds of .45 and 9mm would save a bundle considering I can't use reloads for their class. My 1911 has about 500 rounds down the pipe with only minimal problems caused by a faulty mag. If I can get my hands on a slightly used c9 that has been broken in and wasn't beat by the previous owner, would that make an interesting writeup or even video series on youtube? Any thoughts or suggestions?

I think the C9 will do just fine.sigpic
Then, Sir, we will give them the bayonet! (Stonewall Jackson's reply to Colonel B.E. Bee when he reported that the enemy were beating them back. At the first battle of Bull Run, July 1861)

The ONLY problem with the hi point is the single stack magazine.
It's a very robust design.Comment

Like this? I think they put out four parts trying to destroy this poor gun. I seem to recall them pounding a bolt into the barrel and firing it ....
