    BATF setups

It really scares me as a American that my government is putting guns into the hands of individuals that are know straw buyers. They used gun stores, like "Lone Wolf Trading Company" to put these fully functional weapons into their hands. I would like to think that they had transmitters in the stocks, but with BATF's track record..........

Another thing I wonder about is what pressure was put on "Lone Wolf Trading Company" and others to go along with this.

I agree that this is a problem, but BATF "suggesting" to gun stores, even after they had reservations, to go ahead with the deal and even relaxing the restrictions just to make their case is just crazy. How many Americans and innocent Mexican citizens and LEOs have been hurt or killed by these guns? "Guns do not kill people, people kill people", but you don't put guns into the hands of crazies and expect nothing to happen.

I certainly hope that this is publicized like Koresh and Ruby ridge. When are we going to completely dismantle BATF?
I love California, but I am afraid of its government.

It may have been a misguided program, but really, this scares you? Because.... you're afraid... drug dealers may have guns?

My beef is that these firearms were also used as a political means to push for more arms controls.

Anybody who thinks this wasn't an intentional ploy to pass more gun laws is a fool. Just look at the timing of it all. Batf sends thousands of guns to Mexico while Obama and Mexican president all over tv saying it's you and I selling guns to drug cartel. It's the Gun Shows, It's the ffl's who have to walk on eggshells to keep their business open doing it. And if you remember when this first came out the ATF tried to blame the dealers first. They had to defend themselves and break the story. AmeriKa

And with the name Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms you'd think they'd be the coolest government agency around. Add women and motorcyles to the list and I'd be in heaven.

I know it's a bias crowd in here, but can anyone thinking of one redeeming quality of the BATF?

You should change that one line to say innocent Americans and mexican citizens! Sentence reads like you are more sympathetic to mexicans!

Welcome to the world of the new media where the chosen few no longer control what's being reported. Too bad both of our Senators were informed of this last year & neither did a thing about it. Thank God, the other side has control of the House & can now subpoena those in charge.
