My Parents house got robbed this weekend

I went to the river for 2 days and came home to a pried opened back door. it looks like a tornado came though every thing is thrown everywhere. they got some of my mothers jewelry, some of my dads guitars, even took his heart meds . The river trip was last minute so i had to leave my one of my rifles and 2 pistols here. They ripped the ****ty safe my dad had here right off the wall. they took my first AR I ever fully build on my own. which i had just put a new trijicon on, I f***** saved for so long for that. thats what sucks the most. also took my PX4 but that had almost 10,000 rounds though it. But they took no mags and no bullets.

That sucks. I hope you have insurance to cover the firearms. Do you think you were targeted for any reason (like the guns or jewelry) or was it just random?

My parents house got broken into when I was young. Then ended up catching the guy for something else. The only thing that linked him to our house was the ruger p85 registered to my dad.

Memorial weekend, like many holidays, is another prime time for home burglars roaming around. Where did this happen? What kind of safe - did they take the whole safe?

Sorry for the loss. Hopefully you're an NRA member for the included firearm insurance.

$2,500 of ArmsCare coverage with your NRA membership. This plan covers insured firearms, air guns, bows and arrows against theft, accidental loss, and damage.

remember you have to activate your nra insurance it is not automatic. And you have to have the serial numbers.

Are you the ones who posted on Craigs List about stolen firearms? I guess someone in the San Diego area was hit over Memorial weekend and all their guns were stolen.

Robbery is the taking or attempting to take something of value from another person by use of force, threats or intimidation. It is committed in the presence of the victim. Robbery is commonly known as a "holdup" or a "stickup" (i.e. bank robbery or mugging).

Burglary is the unlawful entry of a ‘structure’ to commit a felony or a theft. Burglary is commonly known as a "break in," or, "breaking and entering." A ‘structure’ is usually in reference to physical buildings but not cars. Car break-ins or thefts are considered larcenies.

No nra insurance, and the home owners insurance only covers 1000 dollars in firearms. none of the neighbors saw anything. Just realized they took keys to all the cars, 5 of them Just less than 6 months ago their cars got broken in too. I think its time for them to move

I'm really mad I let my firearms fall in to the wrong hands. I really should have been more careful. LESSON LEARNED
