Took the GF to the range...

and she did great! I was very impressed. I taught her how to use the irons on my .22 AR then a 4x scope. She shot a shotgun shell at 50 yards in 3 shots.
Here's a video of her shooting the 5.56 and some pictures.

I've been trying to nip it in the butt. I bought her a Winchester Model 1200 for her birthday back in April and she loved it! She says " The AR just doesn't kick enough"

We don't need to hear about what you two did when you got home from the range

              Nip it in the bud.

Where are the safety glasses? Nothing says your shooting, driving, movie watching, days are over until you go blind from a unforeseen problem. Other wise good job.

This.... And I'm not kidding... She's your girl, It's your job to take care of her.

I had a round go off in the mag of a 1911. Dropped the mag in the dirt and didn't clean it before reloading. The follower stuck, the last round stood up, and the follower set it off under recoil. The mag was trash, But luckily still shoot the pistol and still have 5 fingers on my right hand. Just a fluke, But Sh*t happens... I've lost count of how many blown primers I have cleaned for the action of my AR and SU-16 using foreign military 5.56 ammo. Especially Malaysian and African stuff. All it takes is 1... And I just hate to see a lady get hurt. Do a google for "my gun blew up". Here's one...
Today at the range all was going good until blammo. Pmag exploded and the bolt was jammed forward. I finally got the halves separated and found total destruction. The bottom of the BCG Is totally spli

There is a reason that shooting gloves are made also...
Now that you have introduced her to the sport and she likes it, Casually let her know the danger involved alittle at a time. I'm sure I don't have to tell you not to let her read this post...right?
