As others have stated, a Carbine rifle first.

The AR pistol is really just a novelty. That is until you put a butt stock on it which more than a few Californians legally can

I have a 10" upper that I ordered from Troy industries rotting away.

I was going to make an AR pistol until I found out all the LIMITATIONS that make it GAY.

              Go with a carbine.

You get what you pay for. For those that take the cheap side what you said is very true. People shouldn't cut corners and expect great guns. My AR pistol is very accurate would be even better if we were in a state that allowed us to put a but stock on them.
When you say "accurate" whats the grouping at 50-100 yards? I hardly see anyone post groupings on AR pistols...I wanted to get one but, I need to see accuracy first.
