an AR pistol is an Novelty item. Carbine is much more functional.

Carbine first, pistol when you have the extra cash later in life.

That says it. I have an AR pistol just because I can, not because I find it to be particularly useful.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Do you want to actualy hit the target, Or just blast away with an AR pistol to be cool and not hit the broad side of a barn from the inside??? Enough said...

An AR pistol without the mag lock would be a great CQB item with light weight loadings (varmint grenades etc.)

AR pistols are as close as we can get (right now) to a SBR here in CA.

Carbine, never liked the AR pistols

Though a PLR-16 would be cool.

Op, if it's going to be your only AR go with the carbine. Once you already have an AR carbine then go with the AR pistol.

You get what you pay for. For those that take the cheap side what you said is very true. People shouldn't cut corners and expect great guns. My AR pistol is very accurate would be even better if we were in a state that allowed us to put a but stock on them.

Okay now if you could pick a length for the ar pistol upper what would you go with.
