Girl, 3, kills herself with pistol

"Three-year-old India Grant just finished going to the bathroom with her mother's help Friday morning when she crossed through her parents' master bedroom and saw the family's loaded handgun sitting unsecured on a windowsill."

I hate to see stories like this. So senseless. Why the hell do people think it won't happen to them and it's ok to leave loaded firearms where a child can get to them. A little girl is dead because of the stupidity of her parents.

Idiot parents, inanimate object is going to end up taking the blame, with the manufacturer or shop being the scapegoat.

So sad. RIP little India Grant. Parents should be Horsewhipped.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

HD this and HD that.... chances of a home invasion.... slim to none in one's lifetime.

Chances of a kid or a curious person inside the house coming across your loaded gun and accidentally shooting themselves with it? Quite high. It's just a shame. RIP.

                      If I offended anyone... I don't really care, I'm f'n pissed.

There is a huge difference between having a ready weapon for HD, and just leaving a loaded gun lying around. Why do you think people carry at home? So they're in control of the weapon at all times. To even imply this had something with HD is just ignorant.

Do you have data to support the latter claim that the chance is "quite high?" On what are you basing that statement?

My daughter is 3 and she knows all about guns. She learned from an early age to respect them. Even has here own crickett. She never touches the guns without permission. She knows without a doubt that she can hurt either herself or others. She dosent even have any interest in them unless its time to go to the range. If you have guns around it is your responsibility to teach your children ALL about them.

Seriously, who in Hell would leave a loaded handgun on a window sill? and still do it when you have a three year old child in your home?

Her parents need to be jailed, It's the same as if they left poison in a sippee cup in their fridge.
