Driving to Yuma - Good Gun Shops?

I have to be in Yuma next Tuesday for a 8am ribbon cutting ceremony and have to drive over a bunch of my company's marketing stuff. I figure since I'll have some time to kill and I've never been to Yuma before, maybe there might be some cool gun shops. Too bad there isn't a J&G down there, I could use some surplus 308...

I'm also thinking of carrying while I'm there. I haven't carried since I visited my Pops in Prescott last Christmas. Probably won't carry at the ceremony though...

Are you kidding me? A guitar/gun shop? I've been playing guitar almost as long as I've been shooting. I may never come back to LA...

      Thanks!!!

Got in to Yuma around 4:30pm. Had to stop at Wally-world to buy some deodarant I'd forgoten then headed over to Sprague's. Sort of like a scaled down Gander Mountain. Very friendly guy I chatted with there. I told him I was visiting from LA and he said it would only be a matter of time until I was moving to AZ. "They all move away from that place eventually" he said.

Slipped my little S&W .38 into my pocket the minute I crossed the border. Felt just a tad safer knowing I was in a free state and carrying. Of course I ate at the only sushi place around which might undo that feeling of safety? "sushi in yuma? are you serious" said my wife...

I'm hoping to swing by Rick Johnson's and Foothills tomorrow before leaving.

              Thanks again for the suggestions.

You can't go wrong with Spragues. I've got three gun in my safe from there. Dave at the gun counter is who they have all come through too.

Foothills Firearms is a very good shop too. It's run by a retired EOD guy (Ben) who really knows his stuff. If I'm not mistaken, he's the go to guy down that way for NFA items.

The sushi must have come from Ah-So. It is, well, sushi in the desert. If you want some good, authentic, Mexican food, try Mi Rancho down on 16th St right off of Ave 3E. (Not to far from Spragues)

EOD is a science of vague assumptions based on debatable data taken from inconclusive experiments with instruments of problematic accuracy by persons of questionable mentality.

                    Buy a house Nate

Nate we have a house I'm sure out here in the foothills that's 10 minutes from the range that you and the wife will love. I go to the range three or four times a week. Only ten minutes away. Out to a thousand yards and free. Let us know when your coming. Look up the Yuma rifle and pistol club on line. During the winter we shoot every third Sunday. 2-3-600yds one month and 8-9-1000 the next. Take care. I also use to work in the free fire zone there called Gardena
                    I won't be wronged
                    I won't be insulted
And I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.....John Wayne

Well, back in LA now. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon, but I have to say, I rather enjoyed my short time over there. Thanks all for your suggestions!
