Stopped by " The Range " in Fresno and see the new 511 store, looks great and the sales guys were helpful. It looks like they dropped a ton on the new store, so if you are into the tac gear this is the place to shop. A bunch of correction type newbees were there to qualify, after looking at the targets they need a lot more range time. At ten feet timed fire they were shooting dinner plate sized groups.
I have been thinging about adding a dpms upper in 308 to the safe, they had one there, list price at 1800.00$ for the sas model. They offered a less 10% after a few minutes. While I like to support the local dealers at 1400.00$ online and no taxes, that is a lot of ammo. I have shot there a couple of times with friends and like the place for a commercial range. The staff is great. One suggestion would be a box of donuts and a coffee pot with some stools looking on to the range. If I did not have my own range then I would be a member there. Overall I give it a solid nine out of ten.
