I was checking out their consignment website last night and saw they listed a Colt Officers Target in "New" condition for $449. So I set my phone alarm to 10am to remind me to call in for that gun, it would be a great addition to my Colt collection. Then I spent my lunch time and one hour drive from my work at LA to the Rancho Cucamonga store. I walk in and ask for the gun, then that's when I notice it is not what's advertise, there are lots of holster wear, marks, and deep line at the cylinder, the gun is 70% at most. Given they listed it as new, I would expect it at least to be 90% finish, so I mention to the sales about the misinformation at their website. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, he just told me all Colt revolver are in this condition, and they have never seen any in new or mint condition. He made it sounds like I am a dumbass for even expecting a mint gun, even though that's what they listed at. I was still going to purchase the Colt, because $449 is still a pretty decent deal, but with that attitude, I will take my money else where. I always have good luck with Turners, especially the Chino Hill store. This is my first bad experience with them. I will still buy from Turners, but won't be the Rancho Cucamonga store.
At least now they update the condition to 80% on their website.
