shooting areas in bakersfield

Were near Bakersfield can I go shoot that's on public land and i won't get harassed? I've heard of some places near Taft but not sure were. Thanx.

I know lots of people shoot off stockdale hwy, past the I-5 out by the foothills. Never been harassed but not sure its legal either.

Those foothills are Occidental Property. You don't want to get caught with guns out there.
