Ticket and DROS

Hello all. Last month I got a ticket for speeding (85 in a 65) and crossing a double yellow line (on same ticket). I am going to DROS some receivers next week. I plan to pay the ticket before then, but will not be able to complete driving school by the time DROS starts. Will I be ok? Thanks.

Is your Driver's License still valid? Then it shouldn't affect a DROS.

Unless it was like DUI or unsafe driving, most traffic violations are just simple infractions. You are perfectly fine to DROs while a charge is still pending for a minor traffic violation. O BTW make sure you do a Trial by Written Declaration if you plan to fight it. Helps a lot.

Thanks for the quick replies. My driving record is good. The last and only other time I had a ticket was 10 years ago (also for speeding, 40 in a 25), but I went to driving school for that. Never had a point on the record or license revoked or suspended. So far the consensus is I am ok. Please post if you know otherwise! That would be a load off my shoulders because I want to get this OLL show on the road ASAP!

You're good to go, your traffic offences don't count as a felony or misdemeanor.

One word of advice though, in future really make an effort to drive the speed limit when transporting your built up OLL rifle, as not all LEO's understand SB23 and OLL's.
