Shooting in Johnson or Lucerne Valley?

I am looking for a BLM or other open area where its permissible to do some shooting near Cougar Buttes general area between Johnson Valley and Lucerne Valley. Any suggestions?

Wow that is a fantastic map. It is SO much better than the old one it replaced. You can actually see roads, canyons, mines and other navigation aids!

Thank you very much for linking that.

Click the link in my signature. That will give you the two maps we have. One is for the whole county. The other is for the mountain & valley areas. If the area your looking for is not on the maps, then it's in another county. These maps are just for San Bernardino County. Each county in California has it's own county shooting ordnance. But few actually publish a map like we do.

              Indeed. Awesome job Mr. Commissioner!

              EDIT:
I do have a question for you. Regarding your map and ordinance where it says "Target shooting permissible in Designated Areas", is there a way to get a listing of such areas?

Yes, the new one is a fantastic map.
I've used it already, it's so good to know for sure that you are in a legal shooting area.
                Thank you 5Shot!

That refers to the SB Natl Forest. We do not list the target shooting areas in the forest because they open and close depending on fire conditions, road conditions, etc. And they also change locations at times. You can check their status on the SBNF website:
